Katy Perry

Katy Perry has a very personal use of Twitter.com. Many times Katy posts three or four times a day and they are quite random. The way she posts contribute to the kind of artist she is, half the time you don’t know the complete meaning behind her post, but some people don’t know the complete meaning behind some of her songs. So Katy Perry’s twitter contributes to proving that she is a unique artist.
There are some times where she has a more serious post, there was one that was begging people to pray, because a friend of hers was in intensive care. Other than being completely random, Katy Perry sometimes does use her Twitter to say things she does daily. She was shooting a 3OH3! music video, and was talking about how she didn’t shave her legs.
Another interesting thing about the way Katy Perry “tweets” is that she does shorten all of her posts because she only has 140 characters of letters to work with. She also was quite distraught when Miley Cyrus deleted her twitter account, however; most of the twitter world was for some reason.
Most recently, Katy Perry posted three links to pictures from her birthday party. It was Willy Wonka themed, complete with Oompa Loompas and according to her twitter she also had her nails custom done to match Oompa Loompas.
Personally, I love Katy Perry and love the random posts she makes. She has some really crazy antics about her and I also enjoy knowing what she is doing daily. I don’t think that her use of Twitter helps or hinders her in the eyes of the media. Katy Perry has really not done much promoting of anything in particular, but she has said what awards shows/events she will be doing and when.
