Britney Spears employs very clever strategies to publicize her career via Twitter. Throughout the duration of her Circus tour, Britney has been posting hints as to where she is currently stationed with free tickets to her next show. She has been doing this in every city, posting a large number of hints, many of which include lyrics from her songs, via her tweets.
Britney also tweets about upcoming appearances she will be making, such as on Letterman. There is also a link in one of her tweets to a website at which fans can design a shirt similar to one she designed and wore in a show. Sometimes Britney even tweets as to where she is at the moment, like when she was outside of the M&M store in New York City.
Britney also treats her fans and followers to "Photos of the Day" which have been taken on her tour. In addition, photos of the winners of her ticket contest with Britney are posted. Britney also makes sure to thank her fans for their support often, such as by thanking them for attending her shows. She uses her tweets to inform her followers when new singles and videos are released, as well.
