Ashton Kutcher is possibly one of the most active Twitter users on the web today. Ashton was the first person to reach a million followers over the now-famous website. Although Ashton is constantly tweeting, I'm beginning to think the only thing he is promoting is Twitter itself. There are four main things that I have seen Ashton use Twitter for: Posting videos and links that he enjoys from the web, promoting his fantasy football team, tweeting with friends and the occasional promotion of a group or cause.
It is very interesting following Ashton because there is always something new, but from a public relations standpoint his twitter is almost useless. Surprisingly, today was a good day for his PR because he managed to tweet about peace.facebook.com which is a facebook cause dedicated to connecting those who are in a conflict with each other, e.g. the Israelis and Palestinians. Other than that, his Twitter would go on for days without another mention of anything relating to public relations.
I do believe that having Twitter is a good idea for Ashton though, because he does have so many fans and the fact that they can see his every thought is just another way to promote himself in the public eye.
