JImmy Fallon
In addition to using his Twitter to advance his NBC talk show, Fallon tweets about other shows he does. For instance, he was recently at Northeastern University to do a show, and tweeted about how much he loves Boston and how great the students and faculty at the school were.
Occasionally, Fallon tweets about other things, like seeing a 3D movie, but this is not as prevalent as tweets about shows. Fallon is very good about responding to tweets of other people he follows, however. He often comments about tweets of other Twitter members or responds to their tweets posting questions, comments or videos.Jimmy Fallon has 2,176,719 followers and follows 153 people.
Trey Songz
I’m following Trey Songz on twitter and all he has been doing is touring the country. I think his tour ends November 21. He came to IUP on October 10 for our home coming concert and it was the greatest! A lot of people were upset because we were waiting for two hours before he showed up; people even left the concert. I didn’t. I’m a fan! Then people were tweeting him all upset about him not coming on time. It wasn’t his fault. The people who hosted the concert are to blame because his contract said he was scheduled to perform at 10P.M. He even tweeted to the “students of IUP” saying to please stop tweeting him ignorant messages because he isn’t the one to blame and for us to take it up with our school. Overall, the concert was good and he looked great.

Tyra is a human being....
John Mayer
John Mayer also uses his twitter account to clue in his fans to what he is doing with his career. He talks about his tour, and how he is going to be gone for two years. He also brings up something about Alicia Keys and how performing with her was very thrilling. His fans will like to see that John Mayer is praising other celebrities, and will get curious to what exactly he is doing with Alicia Keys... a collaboration maybe?
Hines Ward
Ward Tweets mostly about games and the causes he works for. His most recent series of Tweets documents the time he spent with Korean children that are part of his foundation. He always expresses a lot of gratitude for being able to help people in need. He also makes comments about being happy about the results of games, and congratulates his teammates on a job well done.
I think Hines Ward's Twitter account most certainly helps his career and his image. He comes across as a very humble and genuine person.
Rob Zombie
Demi Moore
She uses her twitter to post what she is doing during the day, what her family is doing, how she is feeling and how her career is going. I also think she uses twitter to the fullest, because it is not uncommon to see her posting information about charity events and creating awareness about “bad” things that are happening in our country.
Demi seems to really enjoy using twitter, by posting multiple times a day. It seems that every time I log into twitter, I also see new tweets by Demi.
Gwen Stefani
@petewentz

Pete Wentz twitters so much, that I had to remove him from my phone list updates. A lot of the things he twitters are just random thoughts going through his head at the time. And since he is the lyricist for Fall Out Boy, his tweets are often lyrical and personal. He tweets a lot about his friends, and his family and twitpics pictures of Bronx (his son) all the time.
@petewentz: waiting on a prescription of you.
For business related things, he (or a publisict) uses @FallOutBoy to tweet things for the band as a whole.
Pete kind of has the whole twitter-verse at his fingertips. His clothing line, Clandestine, also has a twitter, @ClandestineShop.
I love following Pete's twitters because it lets all his fans get a personal sneak-peak into his personal life. His twitter is much like my own, whatever pops into his head, he grabs his phone and types.
@petewentz: my wii fit trainer says i am a "yoga master". i am quite convinced a real life human yoga trainer would say the exact opposite. technology!
Taylor Swift + Twitter = Love.

Kourtney Kardashian
Hayley Williams of Paramore
I follow Hayley on Twitter religiously. She uses her Twitter account in a personal way. She tweets to her friends, boyfriend and fellow bandmates. Some musicians do not run their own Twitter and have others do it for them, posting things such as upcoming concerts, events or contests. Paramore has their own seperate Twitter account that they use for those purposes.
I like how Hayley uses her Twitter. Although she only follows 122 people compared to the 372,918 that follow her, she still keeps her fans in mind as she tweets. She gives updates on what she is doing several times throughout the day and gives shoutouts to the cities they are playing in. She also uploads personal photos from her phone often.
Hayley keeps a personal blog on Paramore's official Web site and often when she updates it, she posts the link in a tweet. A few times, she has used Twitter (along with her blog) to address rumors that were being said about her or the band.
Twitter is a definite help to the entertainment industry. This is probably the closest we will get to our favorite celebrities. It's a great way for celebrities to connect with their fans.
Travis Clark of We The Kings
Travis always updates Twitter, posting tweets such as:” I'm so sorry I couldn't stay outside and sign.. I promise I'll make it up to you :)”This shows that Travis is engaged and really cares about his fans. He also has set up a blog : www.whoistravisclark.com . In the blog, he updates on concerts, upcoming albums and other funny outtakes from the band.
I think that Travis does a very good job at updating his Twitter and keeping his fans as his number one priority. Twitter is a way to connect with celebrities and feel like they belong. In my opinion, Travis cares about his fans and constantly keeps them in the know about upcoming shows and concerts. Travis tells his fans that he appreciates them and is happy to be doing what he’s doing.
Katy Perry
There are some times where she has a more serious post, there was one that was begging people to pray, because a friend of hers was in intensive care. Other than being completely random, Katy Perry sometimes does use her Twitter to say things she does daily. She was shooting a 3OH3! music video, and was talking about how she didn’t shave her legs.
Another interesting thing about the way Katy Perry “tweets” is that she does shorten all of her posts because she only has 140 characters of letters to work with. She also was quite distraught when Miley Cyrus deleted her twitter account, however; most of the twitter world was for some reason.
Most recently, Katy Perry posted three links to pictures from her birthday party. It was Willy Wonka themed, complete with Oompa Loompas and according to her twitter she also had her nails custom done to match Oompa Loompas.
Personally, I love Katy Perry and love the random posts she makes. She has some really crazy antics about her and I also enjoy knowing what she is doing daily. I don’t think that her use of Twitter helps or hinders her in the eyes of the media. Katy Perry has really not done much promoting of anything in particular, but she has said what awards shows/events she will be doing and when.
Adam_Schefter
Adam Schefter is NFL reporter that works for ESPN. He uses his Twitter account to tell his fans things that are going on around the NFL. He will tweet news before he reports to ESPN. He also will answer questions that fans have; I have sent him a question that he responded too on Twitter. He will tweet when he will be on television and where fans can find him. I think that he started a Twitter when he moved from the NFL Network to ESPN. ESPN was one of the first networks that jumped on the Twitter craze. All of the people that work for the company have an account. The shows that air also have their own Twitter pages.
I think the best part of following somebody on Twitter is the availability that they show to their fans. Most of the people that you see on their will take some time to answer questions either about what they do or about anything. Adam had some tweets about whey became a journalist and what you need to do when you inspire to be one. I decided to follow him because he is somebody doing something that I would like to do one day. He is more down to earth then other people that are out there.
I think he does his own tweets, people have said that he is always on his Blackberry either talking to people or tweeting. He has up 53,000 people that follow him, which is the most of anybody at ESPN.
Glenn Beck
When I first started following him I thought for sure that he is doing all of his own tweeting, because most tweets have a sarcastic element to them, especially the ones about President Obama. His tweets contain a lot of internet jargon and shortcuts like “LOL” and “R” instead of are, which makes me think that maybe it is someone of a younger generation doing his tweeting. Most people his age are not using terms like “LOL”, “BRB” or “JK”.
Glenn Beck also uses his tweeting as a way to promote his books, such as the Christmas Sweater.
Allen Iverson
He talks a lot about charity work that he does. I understand that he’s trying to change an image of himself, because he hasn’t been seen in the best of light through his career. However, after awhile it almost comes off as a pat on the back. He doesn’t really tell much about his day-to-day activities, leaning more toward stories. Another smart thing he does is post links to websites where you can see, and buy his new products. It seems like he's walking a fine line with the blog coming off as priomotional, but he's trying to make it sound personal.
The Real House Wife of Atlanta: Nene Leakes
Shaq
Shaq says whatever is on his mind. He will say random tweets about anything. He tells his followers what he is doing that day and what he has already done. A big part of his twitter is commenting on wins and losses after a basketball game. He also recently went to a Jay-Z concert, Shaq said, “I'm at a jz concert, what recession, its 50 thousand people here, jigga killn it, jz the g.o.a.t. Dam put your diamonds up its the roc”. Shaq’s tweets are never to be taken very serious. He spells as if he was in second grade. He is good at staying close with his fans. He does not hold back on how he really feels about a situation. This is why he is so popular. He stays down to earth and he lets his fans understand what he does in a normal day.
Holly Madison
By talking about her everyday life, I think that all of her followers who want to meet her or see her perform in her show can. She also talks about all her promotions that she’s doing. She does talk about other celebrities and I find her comments very entertaining. She also seems to respond to her fans by answering questions that they have asked her. I would highly recommend following Holly, she’s a fun, upbeat and entertaining person!
Ellen Degeneres
Pink
Anderson Cooper
The producer usually just writes a tag or a tease line that says something like "what is sex addiction?"; or "have you seen this story? http://bit.ly/1zHdEn. really tragic. Steve Perry on tonight to answer questions - send 'em - http://bit.ly/2DTkQi."
These tweets seem to arouse reader interest in reading the story on the AC 360 web site or watching it in a prolonged documentary / discussion on its scheduled air date. But in terms of celebrity intimacy, I actually feel farther from knowing who Anderson Cooper really is as a person, which is the one unattractive thing about his twitter account. It feels more like following an AC 360 advertisement than Anderson Cooper himself, which is annoying if you wanted to know what was on Anderson Cooper's mind.
Ashton Kutcher
It is very interesting following Ashton because there is always something new, but from a public relations standpoint his twitter is almost useless. Surprisingly, today was a good day for his PR because he managed to tweet about peace.facebook.com which is a facebook cause dedicated to connecting those who are in a conflict with each other, e.g. the Israelis and Palestinians. Other than that, his Twitter would go on for days without another mention of anything relating to public relations.
I do believe that having Twitter is a good idea for Ashton though, because he does have so many fans and the fact that they can see his every thought is just another way to promote himself in the public eye.
John Mayer, relatable and respectable
John has used his twitter to help publicize the work he is working on. He tweeted “What a day! Finalizing track list, album artwork, final video edit being printed. Calgon, take me away!” I think John uses his twitter in a very good way, he often tweets in a way that his fans can relate to him, such as talking about Triscuits and cheese. While at the same time he still manages to tastefully put in captivating lyrics that forces his followers to think, such as “True endurance doesn’t begin until the moment you find carrying on to be completely unfathomable. “ John's often relatable tweets, I think draws his followers in and his interestingly passionate lyrics keeps his followers guessing and longing for more.
Rihanna
Oprah Winfrey
Oprah has been using Twitter since April 17, 2009. She started off tweeting about her personal life and things that she was doing. Eventually, she began to tweet about her show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, and guests she was having on it.
After viewing several celebrity Twitters, I have come to realize that Oprah is one of the few that does not use Twitter every time she does something new. Instead, she uses it to publicize others and spread the news about them. She also tweets about people that should be recognized for the good that they are doing.
I feel that Oprah uses Twitter for a good reason. Every once in a while she tweets about things she is doing in her personal life, but she really uses it to spread messages about positive things. These things include Broadway performances, remembering victims on anniversaries, recognizing important people, and also her book club (I feel this is not considered part of her personal social life because it encourages people to read).
Kourtney Kardashian
Chad Ocho Cinco of Cincy Bengals
He comments a lot about daily practices with the team and upcoming games. Most of what he writes is extremely hard to understand for his Twitter feed being mostly commenting on what other people tweeted.
For being a guy who talks a lot of trash about teams and rival players, his Twitter is surprisingly soft. This is due to the NFL cracking down on players and their social media usage which makes his tweets not so entertaining to read. If he would tweet what he talks about in interviews about teams and other players i would read his tweets constantly.
Twitter - Dane Cook
He also gives his opinion on certain things happening in the media. For example, he commented on the Taylor Swift/Kanye West incident showing his support for Taylor. Sometimes he posts random quotes.
Once in a while he'll post something meaningful like, "I am thankful I had the greatest mother. She is in my heart during impossible times where I feel like no one is on my side. Night all." Also, "Catching up on fan mail. 2 every1 that wrote I've gotten u through tough times I want u 2 know u've done the same 4 me."
Over all, Dane Cook's posts are entertaining to read regardless of the matter, and he seems to be very in touch with his fans.
