Rob Zombie

My celebrity twitter is Rob Zombie (a famous musician originally in the band White Zombie, who now has a spin off band named Rob Zombie; also a movie director/producer of hits such as "The Devils Rejects, "Halloween", etc.) Rob Zombie has currently been using his twitter to report on his recent tour in Asia. Each show that he has played already, he has given a shout out to them on his twitter and saying that he had an "awesome" or "kick ass" time. I thought the recognition of his fan base is a very noble act and greatly appreciated by his admirers. Within the past few days, he has posted messages about his upcoming release of the dvd "Halloween 2" which was in theaters this summer. He said that there is a new theatrical cut not seen in theaters which he considers to be "the real movie". All i can say i thank god because the original version sucked ass and was a major disappoint. When i first started following him in September, he kept tweeting about how some "asshole" created a fake twitter calling himself Sherri Moon Zombie, otherwise known as Rob Zombie's wife. This is when i believed that this Twitter was actually Rob Zombie himself because he was cussing out the imposter on Twitter. Get it!

Demi Moore

Demi Moore, an American actress, who has been in movies such as “A Few Good Men,” “Ghost,” “Indecent Proposal” and “St. Elmo’s Fire,” to name a few, uses her twitter in many different ways.
She uses her twitter to post what she is doing during the day, what her family is doing, how she is feeling and how her career is going. I also think she uses twitter to the fullest, because it is not uncommon to see her posting information about charity events and creating awareness about “bad” things that are happening in our country.
Demi seems to really enjoy using twitter, by posting multiple times a day. It seems that every time I log into twitter, I also see new tweets by Demi.

Gwen Stefani

My role model growing up was Gwen Stefani. In fact, she still is and I just went to see her in concert this summer for the No Doubt Reunion Tour 09! I have chosen to follow Gwen on Twitter for class but realize she must not do her own tweeting. For example, a lot of her "tweets" say Gwen says or Stefani: 'quote'. I am disappointed that she is not the one actually tweeting and it is probably a publicist. However, I still do enjoy hearing about her, even if it is from someone else close to her!

@petewentz

Pete Wentz twitters so much, that I had to remove him from my phone list updates. A lot of the things he twitters are just random thoughts going through his head at the time. And since he is the lyricist for Fall Out Boy, his tweets are often lyrical and personal. He tweets a lot about his friends, and his family and twitpics pictures of Bronx (his son) all the time.

@petewentz:
waiting on a prescription of you.

For business related things, he (or a publisict) uses @FallOutBoy to tweet things for the band as a whole.

Pete kind of has the whole twitter-verse at his fingertips. His clothing line, Clandestine, also has a twitter, @ClandestineShop.

I love following Pete's twitters because it lets all his fans get a personal sneak-peak into his personal life. His twitter is much like my own, whatever pops into his head, he grabs his phone and types.

@petewentz: my wii fit trainer says i am a "yoga master". i am quite convinced a real life human yoga trainer would say the exact opposite. technology!

Taylor Swift + Twitter = Love.

The life and times of @taylorswift13.
Taylor Swift is one celebrity who really uses her twitter to update her fans on her personal life. Though she does discuss her career and the work she is doing, she also talks about having girls nights with Selena Gomez:
"Fancy dress/high heels night with @selenagomez!"
Or her travels:
"Hello, LA. Good to see you again."
Taylor Swift is someone who fans can already see themselves in. Girls all over the world listen to her songs and feel like Taylor has gone through some of the same situations as they have. I think Taylor is using twitter perfectly, representing herself in a way that is completely approachable to fans.
But she also knows how to promote her name using her twitter account:
"Woahhh.. The Fearless Platinum Edition is OUT OUT OUT right NOW NOW NOW."
I think that Taylor's twittering can only do good things for her career. So suck on that, Kanye.

Kourtney Kardashian

Kourtney Kardashian and her famous family have been all over newsstands recently, from her own baby news to younger sister Khloe's recent wedding the past few months have proven eventful for the Kardashian clan. Due in December Kourtney is preparing for the arrival of her baby boy and the upcoming launch of the new season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Kourtney's tweets seem to mainly consist of events from her day to day life but occasionally she will mention upcoming events she and her sisters are hosting such as their Halloween Costume Contest. In past tweets she has also reminded followers to tune into her summer series Kourtney and Khloe take Miami.

Hayley Williams of Paramore

Hayley Williams is the lead singer of pop-punk band, Paramore. At only 20 years old, Hayley and her band have had three hit records.
I follow Hayley on Twitter religiously. She uses her Twitter account in a personal way. She tweets to her friends, boyfriend and fellow bandmates. Some musicians do not run their own Twitter and have others do it for them, posting things such as upcoming concerts, events or contests. Paramore has their own seperate Twitter account that they use for those purposes.

I like how Hayley uses her Twitter. Although she only follows 122 people compared to the 372,918 that follow her, she still keeps her fans in mind as she tweets. She gives updates on what she is doing several times throughout the day and gives shoutouts to the cities they are playing in. She also uploads personal photos from her phone often.
Hayley keeps a personal blog on Paramore's official Web site and often when she updates it, she posts the link in a tweet. A few times, she has used Twitter (along with her blog) to address rumors that were being said about her or the band.

Twitter is a definite help to the entertainment industry. This is probably the closest we will get to our favorite celebrities. It's a great way for celebrities to connect with their fans.
